Important Information 

Presentations will encourage interactive participation and discussion among miners during topical sessions. 

Safety topics, subject to presenters, may include: 

• Opening Comments from the new Vacaville District Manager, Gary Hebel (invited)
• Take Control: Prevent Serious Injuries and Fatalities - Libby Pritchard, Director, Occupational Health, Safety & Sustainability, NSSGA
• 2022 Fatality Review
• Leroy Hopkins, EFSMS Specialist, Kent Field Office
• Francis "Chico" Patalano will present the First Aid Refresher training.
• Opioid Hazard Awareness in the aggregates/extraction workplace. Video presentation.

2023 Spring Thaw and Part 46 Training will be presented as single-day sessions on Tuesday, February 21, 2023. Due to a full-day schedule, miners will receive 5 - 5.5 hours of topical sessions.
Remaining hours, including changes at the mine site, will need to be completed separately per your company safety plan.
